Thoughts from the Principal…

I am not sure about all of you, but I have a collection of Bible verses that I lean on during certain
moments of my life. Some of these Bible verses I have memorized verbatim, others I have memorized in
summary form, and others I just know they are there and can look them up very easily. I am grateful
that the circumstances of my life have led me to the point of having these scriptures available.
My favorite passage of all is Ephesians 2:8-9. I also like Romans 8:28 and Jeremiah 29:11. There are so many passages that can serve as comfort during those times that life isn’t going well. Romans 8 tells us that bad things can happen but that if you love God, good will come. Jeremiah tells us that He has plans for us. Ephesians tells us that our salvation comes from Him and His grace. We can’t earn it. We can only have faith in it.
My prayer is that all are able to experience the comfort scripture can provide. One of the reasons we do memory work at St. Paul is to plant the scriptural seed in the soil of each student. We live in Christ, and His Word is so valuable.
“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. “ Ps. 23
There’s another good one!

Blessings to All,
