Thoughts from the Principal…
People are generally skeptical and I believe they come by this skepticism honestly. You see, it
is difficult for most people to accept that they could receive something great with no strings
attached. We are conditioned by experience to realize that there are always strings attached,
often strings that are detrimental.
In our society today we are constantly barraged by ads that promise something great to us.
Most often it is a financial benefit, but it could also be promises of improved health, weight loss,
general fitness, or even mental and spiritual benefits. If you buy into their product, service, or
plan, everything will be so much better for you. Most of us are smart enough to know that there
are no shortcuts and that there is always a catch. Most of the time things aren’t what they
seem, and sometimes people end up in much worse shape than they were to start with.
I tell you that to tell you this: It is probably wise to be skeptical when it comes to the world and
what it has to offer. But there is one area that allows us to bury our skepticism and dive in with
both feet. God offers us peace and joy because He has sent His Son to take the responsibility
for all of our sins. No matter what we have done or will do, we are forgiven completely. We do
not have to give anything to receive this amazing grace. There are absolutely no strings
attached. Absolutely none.
May we all accept this great gift from God and claim the peace and joy that comes from knowing
that we are forgiven. May the peace of God which passes all understanding be yours, and may
it keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, unto life eternal.
Blessings to All,
Steve Hall; Interim Principal
